Medium Term Accommodation (MTA)

Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) is a type of housing support provided under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). It is designed to offer temporary accommodation for participants who need a place to stay while they are waiting for more permanent housing solutions or long-term accommodation. MTA can be provided for up to 90 days and is specifically intended to help individuals who are transitioning between short-term supports and their longer-term accommodation goals.

This accommodation option is available for individuals who need support while waiting for their NDIS-approved housing plan to be finalised or while their permanent housing is being arranged.

Short Term Accommodation (STA)

Short Term Accommodation (STA) under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a type of support designed to provide temporary accommodation and care for NDIS participants. It is typically used when individuals need to take a break from their usual routine, access respite care, or when they need somewhere to stay for a short period due to a change in their living arrangements (e.g., waiting for permanent accommodation, recovery after a hospital stay, or while transitioning between services). STA can be provided for up to 14 days.
